Vina Vidal Vicente is a writer, editor, Communications consultant cum strategist cum specialist, English teacher, and a jazz/blues/rock singer. Her accomplishments include: finally getting her Master’s degree from the Ateneo School of Government; singing for (plus, at one time, vocal coaching) the President of the Republic of the Philippines and other officials of the government; traveling the country in cranky helicopters and other such faulty aircraft; staying wide awake (not to mention alive and kicking) all throughout 4-hour teleconferences at 6 in the morning, and talking to at least three thousand Europeans in the span of one year. When she is not busy writing for Working Mom (and other publications) or blogging, she is busy managing communications plans and producing content and collateral for Chevron’s Project Olympic. She also creates communication training modules for our fellow Filipinos, as well as sings at various gigs. She is currently working on her first novel. Vina is married to foreign press photojournalist Rolex dela Pena and now lives in the shadow of her daughter Tala Ysabel.
